This annual event was held on Sept. 13-15th this year.
As can be seen from the scores, several sailors were unable to compete in the C-rig conditions, due to lack of having a C-rig in their sail-box.
The conditions on Saturday were steady 25 knots of wind with gusts to 35 knots and 6 foot seas.
Review and photos by Gary Boell,
I just wanted to express some heartfelt thanks to Peter van Rossem and Lana Butler for hosting the 2019 Region #1 / Eastern Canadian IOM Championships this past weekend. Mary, John, and the remainder of the KYC Team did an outstanding job in a range of conditions. Big breeze and waves on Saturday, and lighter conditions with some rain on Sunday. All in all, great sailing in a stunning venue! Jerry Warren Brower finished in Fourth, Stan Wallace had fantastic boat speed through the whole event in Third, Steve Landeau pressed hard until the end in Second, and I was fortunate enough to hang on for the win. Looking forward to next year already.
