The Weedless 1M Canada Class is a box rule open class (anything not prohibited is permitted) .
This class was conceived to fit the following requirements:
– Permit navigation in weedy waters,
– To be able to sail in a wide range of water and wind conditions,
– To be of size and weight to permit easy launching, retrieval and transportation,
– Allowing for variety and innovation of design while making it possible to build competitive boats without
excessive costs.
Some of the designs that fit into the class rules are; Northern 12, J-boat, International Dragon and S40.
