Dec 16 – 2022 CRYA membership cards have been emailed out.

All 2022 CRYA membership cards have been emailed out from cryacommunications (at) gmail.com.If you have not received yours yet, please check your junk mail/spam folder, as some have reported it arriving there.

Dec 2 – 2021 IOM ICA AGM Ballots for registered IOM owners have been emailed out

A complete copy of the 2021 Agenda is available here for your review. You can view a copy of the profile of the nominees here. Voting closes on Dec. 11, 2021

Nov 18 – 2022 CRYA membership dues have been waived

Due to Covid-19 curtailing sailing activities in 2021, as well as a healthy financial account, the CRYA board has voted to waive the membership renewal fee for 2022 for current members in good standing . New membership cards will be emailed out over the next 6 weeks.

Oct 30 – Notice of the CRYA 2021 AGM emailed out to all active CRYA members

Oct 25 – Pacific Region IOM Regional Championship Regatta results

Regatta results can be found here. The IOM rankings have been updated and posted here. There was a late request for redress which was reviewed by a protest committee November 3rd. The report findings can be found here.

Oct 17 – 2022 IOM World Championships – Postponed to October 2022

Oct 2 – IOM ICA 2021 AGM Notice of Meeting

An email has been sent to all CRYA IOM owners to notify them of the upcoming AGM. The timeline for submissions and nominations forms can be found here.

July 14 – IOM Championship Regattas this year

Due to the Covid-19 lock down in place across most of Canada, as well as the border closure, any previously scheduled IOM Championship (ranking) Regattas have been cancelled. Currently there is only one Regional (ranking) regatta scheduled for October 23 & 24 at Salt Spring Island (see event schedule in the right hand pane).

May 10 – IRSA recognises Associate Membership Status for two new classes -Marblehead and 10R ICAs

PRESS RELEASE: IMCA and ITCA have been formed.

Gentlemen.
Thank you so much for your support.
After many years as Class Association within the IRSA, the Marblehead (IMCA) and Ten Rater Classes (ITCA) now have fully operational International Class Associations.

They each have a site, a foundation membership and also foundation executives who have steered the classes through to the point of independence. The last part was the separation and agreement with the IRSA on an Associate Membership. This gives the two new associations the ability to now determine their own future including the development and promotion of international events like Regional and World Championships.

April 8 – New RG65 website

Checkout the new (as of January 13th) RG65 ICA website. This looks like a great tool for RG65 owners & includes a forum which is viewable without a login. Lots of things are happening with the RG65 ICA, so this is a good way to keep up to date.

March 1 – Gentle reminder

For 2020 CRYA members in good standing, your 2021 dues have been paid by the CRYA.
Your 2021 membership card was emailed out to you last year in early October.
Please do not remit payment for 2021.

Feb 10 – 2022 IOM WCR announced

IOMICA are pleased to announce the NCA for Croatia has been successful in their bid to host the 2022 IOM World Championship. For Canada, this means 2 sailors are eligible to attend based on the IOM ranking results here. There may be room for a 3rd sailor in stage 2 allocations, depending on the number of attendees signed up from each country and their finishing order in the 2019 WCR.

Jan 18 – Lifetime PSN certificates for members in good standing have been email out.

Active paid members now have their PSN for the lifetime of their CRYA membership, with no further payments required, as per this page.

Besides being Canada’s radio sailing authority, and all the technical administration that comes with that responsibility, the CRYA brings together people from all parts of Canada to enjoy a sport that can be enjoyed by young and old. The Social aspects of participating in this sport can be very rewarding, talking boats, building boats, and sailing radio controlled boats, can be enjoyed by all.
